The virtue of dhikr and dua
The Quran and Sunnah encourage frequent remembrance (dhikr) of Allah at all times and in every state: "O you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance" (Quran 33:41). Dhikr brings tranquility to the heart and shields a Muslim from whispers of doubt, and the morning and evening azkar in particular carry great virtue in preserving a person, by Allah's leave, from the start of the day to its end and through the night until morning — while dua afterward becomes a means for Allah to answer His servants and relieve their worries.
